This was a former version of me too! Existing within a small box that society and the accompanying trauma made a cosy little bed for me and for a long time I thought this was all there is to life. I utilised talk therapies and self-help mindset programs and I honestly did get so much from these but there was something missing. Choosing to believe something different when you don’t really feel it inside can be difficult and a short term fix. 

Introducing…. Transformational Breathwork and Somatic Therapies. This is where the magic happened for me and it’s the reason I’m so lit up and inspired to share this medicine with you. 

Intrigued… When we experience trauma and emotionally intense events in life there is a chemical, physiological response that happens within our body, and as a species, humans are never really taught how to regulate themselves. This then results in unprocessed, unresolved emotions, feelings and energy being stored in the body-mind system and it becomes stagnant, inflammation and stress levels increase and it can really impact the decisions we make and how we are able to show up in the world. Often this is entirely operating within our subconscious mind. 

The type of Breathwork I offer is a mixture of conscious connected activating and restoring breaths with journeys typically between 60-90mins. By breathing for an extended period of time we are able to drop out of the overthinking, analytical mind that runs the show for us daily. The breath takes us into a non-ordinary state of consciousness where we are able to access insights, information, clarity and peace that aren’t usually available to us living our busy lives. A direct experience of healing and transformation opens up by activating our nervous system in a safe and controlled setting and we can start to shift that unprocessed and unalchemised energy from all the shizzz life has thrown at us. We get to take our power back! We get to start writing our own story!

I currently have availability for 1:1 Breathwork Sessions online and in-person, each session is 2.5-3hours with a 60-90min Breathwork journey. In some instances I am available for home visits, otherwise in-person (as I’m still searching for a place I love) will be in different locations within Central Scotland and Dundee/Perthshire. I also run community group sessions which are advertised on my Instagram. Breathwork and starting the journey of regulating your nervous system takes time and commitment, I would recommend a minimum of 3 sessions which I have a slightly discounted offer for. Single and 6pack sessions also available.

I am Scotland’s only Trauma Informed Breathwork Facilitator certified by Owaken Breathwork. As this modality becomes more popular I wanted to pop this in at the end to highlight my dedication to this medicine. The training I went through included fortnightly 3 hour Breathwork sessions, weekly learning, practical experience reports being submitted and exams, all taking place over 9 months. This took me to the depths of my soul and also exponentially grew my capacity for the space I can hold.
