The Foxlotus Method of Bodywork can relieve you of conditions ranging from back pain, repetitive strain injury, carpel tunnel syndrome, joint issues, scoliosis, poor flexibility and many other maladies by removing chronic tension from the body. The method is based upon the principle that tension in the body Is held in bands that originate in the fingers and toes. These travel all the way up the limbs, through the trunk of the body, chest, shoulders and head. Tension gathers in these bands sometimes through the basic mechanics of moving round day to day, and also through injuries, surgery and traumas. Once the muscles tighten sometimes they “forget” to relax again and the tension becomes chronic. This leads to stiffness, pain, susceptibility to injury, and can impede blood flow or impinge upon nerves causing further damage. We are able to remove this tension by following the bands that hold them beginning in the fingers and toes and working up the limbs. This can be a painful process at first but ultimately will prevent a lot more suffering than is involved in being treated. The FoxLotus Healing Method draws upon a body of knowledge from at least five systems of healing including Chinese and Indian forms of bodywork, reflexology, acupuncture and Raynor Therapeutic Massage but it is not a massage so much as a physiotherapeutic intervention. We both trained in this method specifically in Mexico because we had the treatment ourselves and were so impressed by how efficient and effective it is. Antony was suffering from repetitive strain injury so severe that he was afraid to pick up his phone some days. Vicky suffered from a hockey injury at school and found herself free of back pain for the first time in 15 years after she was treated. Vicky has also done 2.5 years of study in physiotherapy at a mainstream university and compares the techniques favourably to what she did on placement within the official system. Antony has trained in breathwork and yoga in India and is a certified Pranayama teacher. He underwent counselling studies at Edinburgh University. Before coming to the Fox Lotus Method he tried chiropractic care, osteopathy, physiotherapy, thai massage, craniosacral therapy, and just about every body work he could find from India to Costa Rica in the effort to heal himself, but nothing prove to be so fast or so effective as what we now practice and call the Fox Lotus Method!
